Breast cancer: raising awareness through social networks

Cancer has been and still is a very dangerous disease because in no time it can develop into a tumour and be fatal. The rate of breast cancer is more or less alarming. It is perfectly curable if it is detected in time. This is why more and more events are being held to raise awareness.

The Know Your Lemons Foundation

Know Your Lemons is a charity that aims to teach the symptoms of potential breast cancer. It is the brainchild of Dr Corrine Ellsworth-Beaumont, who was inspired by her grandmothers and friend who did not survive breast cancer.

A collaboration with Shein 

Know Your Lemons is partnering with Shein to encourage more and more people to learn about breast cancer, to take care of themselves, but above all to love themselves.

This partnership has resulted in a collection for May 2022 that combines vitality with soft sensuality that will share hope, love and courage. 10 % of the sales of the SHEIN X KNOW YOUR LEMONS COLLECTION will be donated to Know your Lemons to promote early detection of breast cancer.

Apart from Shein's involvement in this event, which is very beneficial to reach as many people as possible, as Shein is very well known around the world, there are also the influencers who contribute their stones to the building.

Beatriz Retamal Saéz: a Spanish influencer

She has over 100 thousand followers on Tiktok and over 400 thousand on Instagram with a certification. Therefore, a post from her is very impactful and that's the point. Moreover, photos of her with the products of the collection in question have reached many people apart from the following of other certified influencers with more than 900 miles and 2 million followers.
